Welcome to Sunflower Cottage Dog Boarding and Pet Care, a cosy home haven run by Cassie and her loyal canine co-host, Bud. We specialise in boarding small and medium-sized dogs, offering a relaxed, home-from-home experience filled with garden play, comfy naps, and gentle adventures.
While our cottage is reserved for doggy guests only, Cassie also provides expert care for a variety of other animals—including cats, horses, alpacas, and smallholding residents—through home visits and tailored pet-sitting services. With decades of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of animal behaviour, Cassie handles everything solo, ensuring every creature gets the attention and love they deserve.
Whether it’s a tail-wagging holiday for your pup or peace of mind while you're away from your smallholding, Sunflower Cottage is where big hearts meet little paws—and muddy boots are always welcome.

Cassie offers expert, personalised care for cats, horses, alpacas, and smallholding residents through tailored home visits. Whether it’s feeding the flock, cuddling your cat, or checking in on your herd while you're away, she brings decades of hands-on experience, a deep understanding of animal needs, and a whole lot of muddy-booted love to every visit.
Collection Service
Door to Door
Pickups, Pet Visits & Travel Info
Clients are welcome to drop off and collect their boarding dogs, but we’re happy to offer free pickup for guests within 6 miles or a 25-minute drive from Woodbury. For locations farther afield, a mileage charge of 45p per mile applies. For pet-sitting visits—cats, horses, alpacas, and more—we generally travel up to 30 minutes away, keeping things local to ensure quality care. That said, we’re always open to exceptions (especially if alpacas are involved!). Wherever you’re based, feel free to get in touch—we’ll do our best to help.
Dog Walking
Enriching, safe, fun
Cassie offers fun, sociable walks designed to give dogs the exercise, freedom, and companionship they love. Joined by her miniature schnauzer Bud, she leads small groups through some of East Devon’s best spots — from the wide open spaces of Woodbury Common to the beaches and footpaths around Budleigh, Exmouth, and Lympstone. Every outing is paced to suit the dogs, with safe off‑lead time, plenty of sniffing, and lots of play along the way. With Cassie’s years of hands‑on experience and Bud’s cheerful company, walkies are more than just exercise — they’re adventures filled with fresh air, fun, and wagging tails.
